An Affirm Body Treatment session lasts approximately 15 minutes. The treatment area is numbed with an anesthetic cream prior to treatment and the SmartCool air cooling system is used to minimize pain and discomfort. There is little to no downtime following the procedure. Redness and irritation in the treatment area may last for up to one day.

In the hours following treatment, you should expect to feel a sunburn-like sensation and experience redness and swelling. Other short-term side effects include the skin having a tan and dusky appearance.

About a week within receiving the treatment, you should expect to see the first signs of skin rejuvenation. You won’t see the full results of the treatment until about two months later. Your body will continue to produce new collagen for up to six months after treatment.

The day after you receive affirm laser treatment, you should be able to resume your normal activities. Every day for at least three months after treatment, be sure to apply sunblock of SPF 30 or higher.
